Peter “Peetah” Morgan, Lead Singer of Morgan Heritage, Dies at 46

It is with deep sadness that the Morgan family announces the passing of Peter “Peetah” Morgan, beloved lead singer of the Grammy Award-winning reggae band Morgan Heritage. Peter passed away on Sunday, February 25, 2024, at the age of 46.

Peter, one of the founding members of Morgan Heritage, was a driving force in the band’s success. Alongside his siblings, he helped establish Morgan Heritage as one of the leading reggae acts in the world. Their music, known for its positive messages and uplifting spirit, touched the lives of countless fans globally.

“We are devastated by the loss of our beloved Peter,” said the Morgan family in a statement. “He was a true light in this world, and his music will continue to inspire and uplift us all. We ask for privacy during this difficult time, and we thank everyone for their love and support.”

The cause of death has not been disclosed.

Peter is survived by his wife, children, siblings, and many other family members and friends.
